Now Dexter appears to have a penchant for cleaning sponges. The poor owner has taken to hiding the sponge/scourer to stop it from being swiped and dropped on the floor. Occasionally though, as owners are only human, they forget to hide the sponge away and Dexter grabs his opportunity to jump onto the sink area and either deposit it on the kitchen floor or carry it onto the dining room carpet.
One evening the owner walked into the kitchen to find a puddle on the floor and upon scratching the head soon realised that this was from the sponge that had been hoicked out of the water in the washing up bowl and duly dropped on the floor. There is no purpose for doing this other than to irritate and annoy as of course this sponge cannot be used anymore for washing up and a new one has be opened which can get a little expensive. If the sponge was to be used as a plaything the reason for doing it would be easier to comprehend but the owner is left with the feeling they are being 'got at'. Dexter is never seen to do this either as he uses his stealthlike ability to do the deed with nobody ever having witnessed it, almost making it seem like the doings of a more sinister being , but the owner still knows it's him!
